Now I bet you are thinking this is going to be a Thread whingeing about the ads on EO.

Quite the opposite.

Apart from the fact I am a committed internet shopper, it is interesting to see the variety of ads appearing on EO. Banks, Medibank Private and I noticed an ad for a website that helps you trace your family tree.

All this tells me that the internet is rapidly becoming an essential part of our everyday lives and popular websites are monitored closely by big business looking for advertising opportunities.

I don't even tick the Suppress the Ads button anymore. I like the ads.

However, if that ad for the stupid Snuggly blanket with sleeves thing gets onto EO, with those people high fiving each other while wrapped in their blankies, I'll be forced to reach for the mouse.

Anyway, it's good to see David & Michelle's "baby" reaching adulthood.

And I admit I'm an internet junkie. If my ISP goes down, as it does every now and then, Mrs Bush reckons I'm cranky like a bear with a sore head.

Whilst I'm not so naive as to think the site can survive without advertising, I do wish they wouldn't go overboard with all those flashing ads.....

Now if I had epilepsy....

I know when I finally signed up for membership after lurking as a visitor for a number of years, I did initially see that elusive button to switch some of the ads of for a while.

Could someone remind me where that switch is again ? as I'll be blowed if I can still see it anywhere.

Thanks

When you open the thread and can see the ad, the switch is just below the ad.

Thanks to Gone Bush and Bonz.....

Geez I feel like a Ning Nong !!

Just directly after I hit the send button last night I happened to see that little check box.....

Blowed if I could see it before.

Suppose the reason is that it was right in front and not hidden as I was expecting....

Also as it was getting late, well anyway thats my excuse....

G'day Mr Bush

Agree with you and Mrs Bush would find a fellow traveller in this household.

The one thing that intrigues me about advertising on the site tho', is the logic behind Cobb getting a guernsey as the lead advertisement under the Trader categories of Campers & Trailers and caravans and Motor Homes.

Cheers
John

Geez, Mr Bush, you should be here playing adventures with us instead of sitting at your desk whingeing all the time! Sorry Ian can't come to play right now he's down stairs cleaning the fish. Having rissoles for tea because we ate too many yabbies this week.
You going to St George?

are you going to make an appearance Ruth??

GB is on the list and is headed for the Gathering after he picks his van up.

Cheers Kev

I hope Ruth is going to be there. I've got a bottle of Margaret River red for her.

Had one last year. Dave B and I had to drink it. Well, Dave drank it....
